MUMBAI: The Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is being heavily criticized for selecting a Bangladeshi player for Kolkata Knight Riders.

He has been called a traitor by the Bharatiya Janata Party, with BJP’s Uttar Pradesh leader Sangeet Som slamming the actor for buying a Bangladeshi player by Kolkata Knight Riders amid the increasing atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in the neighboring country.

He called Shah Rukh Khan a traitor for buying Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman. The BJP leader warned that if the Bangladeshi player reaches India, he will not be allowed to leave the airport.

It should be noted that Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders have bought the only Bangladeshi player, Mustafizur Rahman, for Rs 9.2 crore. Shah Rukh Khan is currently under heavy criticism over this issue.
