Fashionistas everywhere were shocked when Chanel debuted its bizarre Chanel Barefoot Sandals at the Resort 2027 fashion show. The luxury brand presented models in sandals with heels that were so high they were almost invisible, giving the impression they were walking barefoot on the runway. The design was simply a thin strap around the ankle with the lower part of the foot fully exposed.

The bold look and shocking price made the unique fashion item quickly become a hot topic on social media. Reports revealed the sandals costed nearly 1,500 US dollars which is around 418,000 Pakistani rupees. Some wondered if such shoes would be practical for everyday use, while some praised Chanel for its creative limits in modern fashion.

Fashion experts think the design was not meant to be comfortable or for everyday use. Rather it is an artistic expression and defies conventional notions of footwear. Some experts even likened the concept to barefoot beach walking while still maintaining an air of luxury and style.

Chanel has always been known for experimenting with fashion to bring out designs that create conversation. These sandals pay homage to this tradition by emphasizing visual impact and creativity more than practicality. The design may never be worn by many people in real life, but it sure did manage to grab attention and spark a global discussion in the fashion industry.
