Stage actress Khushboo Qureshi has been cleared of a long-running immigration fraud case that was in the courts for many years. The case was closed with the complainant recanting all allegations during the hearing and the court dismissing her from all charges. The Special Central Court announced the acquittal verdict of Khushboo Qureshi after detailed review of statements and case records.

The case relates to the year 2013 when the allegations were lodged through the Federal Investigation Agency. Instead of sending a citizen abroad to Malaysia, money was said to be collected. However, during the recent hearing, the complainant deposed before the court that he had no objection now and had already paid money to the actress’s ex-husband, not directly to the actress. He also clarified that Khushboo Qureshi has now divorced and separated from that relationship.

The court proceedings also revealed that the actress had been away for several years, but later appeared before the court after her passport was blocked. This meant that the case process was reopened.

The court considered the amended statement and the absence of any objection, and found her not guilty of all charges. The verdict brought closure to a case that had been going on for over a decade and gave Khushboo Qureshi a legal relief after a long struggle.
