SIALKOT: In a spectacular display of wealth, guests at an overseas Pakistani wedding in the Sialkot district were showered with currency notes, with over 50 million Pakistani rupees and foreign currency being distributed.
As per the media reprots, the groom’s friends and family arranged special containers in the wedding hall to ensure that currency notes were thrown around during the festivities.
As the wedding procession left the scattered village, the groom’s brothers and friends began throwing currency notes along the way.
The tradition continued as more notes were scattered throughout the venue upon reaching the wedding hall in Sambrial.
The unusual display led to a surge in attendance, with many guests travelling from far and wide to collect the notes, and by the end of the ceremony they were noticeably richer.
Imran, the groom, who had arrived from Italy, and his brothers, who had travelled from Spain and Canada, generously distributed the money during the festivities.
The scattered village of Bikhre Wali, known as a hub for overseas Pakistanis, has gained fame for such unusual celebrations, where guests show their generosity by showering currency on others during weddings.
