Former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that Antony Blinken rejects Trump Iran regime change claim and questioned the reality on the ground.
According to foreign media reports, Blinken said no one can say how long the current government in Iran will continue.
He explained that despite tensions, there is no clear evidence that a major political change has taken place.
Blinken also admitted that after the reported death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, no public uprising has emerged against the system.
This statement comes after US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran’s naval and air forces were destroyed.
Trump had also said that the country’s leadership had been eliminated and described it as a “regime change.”
However, Blinken’s remarks suggest that the situation inside Iran is still unclear and complex.
Analysts believe that without visible internal resistance, claims of regime change remain difficult to confirm.
