LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Punjab government has initiated significant projects that will advance agricultural progress in the region.

Farmers have received more than 20000 Green Tractors as the distribution process continues, with 10000 additional tractors now entering the market.

The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz High-Tech Mechanisation Financing Program enables farmers to receive government funding for their purchase of wheat and rice combine harvesters.

Farmers will receive high-power tractors together with contemporary agricultural equipment through accessible financing options. The program extends Rs30 billion in loan assistance to both farmers and service providers.

Farmers received 5000 Super Seeders, which cost Rs. 4 billion to distribute. Rice super seeders will decrease the requirement for agricultural waste burning according to their operational benefits, which will help reduce smog.

Farmers throughout Punjab now receive modern farming training through mechanization, according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

She explained that agricultural mechanisation enables farmers to decrease their production expenses, which leads to higher crop yields throughout their fields. She urged farmers to abandon traditional and outdated methods and adopt modern agricultural machinery.

The Green Tractor Scheme will start operations in 2025 to enhance access to modern tractors throughout the region. The program to increase mechanization will operate throughout the entire province.
