Chief Justice Walks Out of the courtroom when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi tried to address him during a hearing in Islamabad on Wednesday. The chief minister said he waited over an hour but did not receive any response.

Afridi later spoke to the media outside the court. He explained that he wanted to present his point because he could not get a meeting through other official channels. He said he greeted the chief justice, but there was no reply.

He added that his visit was meant to show that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes in peaceful and legal ways. Afridi also said a request for a medical examination of PTI founder Imran Khan by Shaukat Khanum doctors was not heard.

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said the party was trying to arrange meetings between Imran Khan, his lawyers, and his family. He said the court had ordered regular meetings, but those were not arranged.

Raja said petitions related to Imran Khan’s medical checkup and other matters were filed but not taken up. He added that the legal team had now approached the Supreme Court.

He also said Afridi tried to speak in court as a representative of millions of people. However, when he stood up to talk, the chief justice left the courtroom.

Separately, police took a mobile phone from a person who recorded a video of Afridi inside the court building. The video was deleted, and the phone was later returned.
