LAHORE: Doha flights resume after a 25-day pause, as Pakistan starts restoring its air connections with Middle Eastern countries. The move comes after disruptions caused by the Iran-US conflict.

Airport officials said flights from Doha have started arriving in Karachi and Lahore. However, these planes are not leaving immediately and depart only after security clearance.

The data shows a clear difference in passenger numbers. Inbound flights from the Middle East are bringing more passengers, while outbound flights are running at less than half capacity.

Sources added that flight operations are being restored step by step. Earlier, services from cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, and Al Ain were also resumed. Now, Doha flights resume on a limited scale.

Officials confirmed that outbound flights still have 50% to 60% fewer passengers compared to incoming flights. This is mainly due to ongoing safety checks and cautious travel planning.

A total of 18 flights from different Middle Eastern cities have arrived in Pakistan so far. Authorities expect the number of flights to increase gradually as the situation improves.

The Pakistan Airports Authority said all international airports are fully operational. Facilities for landing, takeoff, and emergency handling are available. Parking space for foreign airlines has also been arranged if needed.

The authority added that it remains in close contact with both local and international airlines. Regular updates are shared throughout the day to monitor the situation.

A PAA spokesperson confirmed that there is no emergency at any airport, and normal operations are continuing with full support for all flights.
