Hajj Pilgrims Facilitation has become a key priority as Saudi Arabia takes a major step ahead of the upcoming Hajj season. The decision comes in response to rising tensions in the Middle East, including concerns linked to the Iran conflict.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the creation of a dedicated operation room. This move aims to make travel easier and safer for pilgrims arriving from around the world.
The announcement was made by Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah during the opening of the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum in Madinah. He said the operation room will act as a central system to handle any issues faced by pilgrims from the moment they arrive.
Officials explained that the Hajj Pilgrims Facilitation system will improve coordination between different departments. It is being developed in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant bodies.
The goal is to ensure smooth procedures at airports and provide quick support in case of any challenges. Authorities also confirmed that emergency preparedness has been increased to handle unexpected situations.
The minister revealed a sharp rise in the number of international pilgrims. This year, the number has crossed 18 million, showing more than 214 percent growth compared to recent years.
The Hajj Pilgrims Facilitation initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s efforts to maintain safety, comfort, and better services for millions of pilgrims during a sensitive regional situation.
