Imran Khan Right Eye Vision Drops Significantly, Medical Report Reveals

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has revealed that his Imran Khan right eye vision drops to just 15%, according to a medical report submitted to the Supreme Court.

The report was submitted by Barrister Salman Safdar, appointed as “friend of the court.” It states that until October 2025, Imran Khan had normal vision in both eyes. He later developed persistent blurred and hazy vision, which he reported multiple times to jail authorities. According to the report, no timely action was taken to address his complaints.

Imran Khan told the court observer that he eventually experienced a sudden and significant loss of vision in the right eye. Dr. Muhammad Arif, an ophthalmologist at PIMS, diagnosed a blood clot causing severe damage. Despite receiving treatment, including an injection, Khan retains only 15% vision in the affected eye.

During his meeting with Barrister Safdar, Khan appeared visibly distressed. The report described him as frequently wiping watery eyes, reflecting his discomfort. For nearly three months, he received only eye drops, which were insufficient to prevent serious impairment.

The report also highlighted other medical neglect. At 73 years old, Imran requires regular dental and blood check-ups, which were not provided despite repeated requests. His personal physicians, Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Asim Yusuf, had previously been allowed access, but recent requests for medical consultations were ignored.
