The Iran ceasefire order has been issued by Iran’s Supreme Leader, directing all military units to stop operations after a US-backed agreement. The announcement was made through state media, confirming that the move is temporary and does not mark the end of the war. Officials said the country will remain on full alert.

Authorities stated that all branches of the military must immediately follow the ceasefire order. However, Iran emphasized that the situation remains tense and forces are fully prepared for any escalation.

Strong Warning from Iran

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has approved the ceasefire agreement. In its official statement, the council clarified that the war has not ended. It warned that any mistake by the opposing side will receive a strong response.

The statement highlighted that Iranian forces are still ready and closely monitoring developments. This reflects a firm stance despite agreeing to pause military action.

Talks to Begin in Islamabad

Iranian officials confirmed that negotiations will begin on April 10 in Islamabad. The first phase will continue for two weeks and may be extended depending on progress.

Officials described the ceasefire as a result of the opposing side stepping back on the battlefield. They added that if the talks lead to political success, it could be considered a historic achievement. Otherwise, the conflict may resume.

US Position and Trump’s Statement

US President Donald Trump also announced the ceasefire, calling it a decisive success for the United States. He said American military objectives have been achieved and that a long-term peace agreement with Iran is now close.

According to Trump, the ceasefire was reached as a bilateral arrangement following a proposal from Pakistan. He added that Iran’s 10-point proposal could serve as a workable basis for negotiations.

However, he stressed that the ceasefire depends on the immediate and secure reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route.
