Iran has no intention of conflict with regional countries, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The statement came as both leaders discussed the regional situation and global security concerns.

According to Iranian media, President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on regional peace and stability.

President Pezeshkian said Iran has no intention of conflict with regional countries. He stressed that Tehran supports stability and cooperation in the region.

The Iranian president also warned that ignoring those responsible for wars could create serious risks for the global system and international security. He said the international community must pay attention to the causes of conflicts.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had written a letter to Iran’s newly elected Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. In the letter, the prime minister expressed condolences over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He also conveyed sympathies and prayers from the people of Pakistan to the people of Iran and the wider Muslim world.
