Private Medical Colleges MBBS Seats Deadline Extension has been requested by private medical colleges in Punjab to complete their admissions. The colleges want more time to fill empty MBBS seats after the earlier deadline passed.
The request was discussed during a meeting held on Friday at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore. The meeting reviewed vacant seats, admission progress, and student concerns.
College principals said many seats are still empty. The previous deadline to complete admissions was February 13. However, several colleges could not fill all seats by that date.
Officials agreed to send a proposal for the Private Medical Colleges MBBS Seats Deadline Extension to the Provincial Admission Committee. They suggested extending the deadline until February 28.
This request comes after the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council revised the overall admission schedule. Colleges now want to align their admissions with the updated timeline.
The meeting also made an important decision for students. Colleges agreed to give a full fee refund to students who withdraw their admission by March 31. No deductions will be made in such cases.
Students who want to transfer to another college must get a No Objection Certificate from their current college. Colleges have been instructed not to delay issuing these certificates until February 24.
If approved, colleges will fill the remaining seats between February 24 and February 28. Officials also said they do not plan to request any further extension.
The Private Medical Colleges MBBS Seats Deadline Extension is expected to help colleges complete their admissions and support students waiting for placement.
