Saudi Arabia reserves right to military action against Iran after fresh missile attacks increased tensions in the Gulf region.

Saudi Arabia says Iran targeted key locations with ballistic missiles and drones. The attacks came after Iran accused Israel of hitting its gas facilities earlier this week.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the country has the right to respond if needed. He warned that pressure from Iran will not succeed and may backfire politically.

He made these remarks during a meeting of regional foreign ministers in Riyadh. Diplomats from several countries including Turkey, UAE, Jordan, Qatar and Syria attended the talks.

Officials said Saudi defense systems intercepted multiple missiles aimed at Riyadh. However, some debris reportedly fell near a refinery south of the city.

This marks a serious escalation in the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Iran. The situation has already disrupted global oil and gas supplies.

Authorities in Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia confirmed attacks on energy facilities. Iran had earlier warned of targeting oil and gas infrastructure in the Gulf.

Saudi Arabia reserves right to military action against Iran but still prefers diplomacy. The foreign minister said trust between the two countries is now severely damaged.

Saudi Arabia and Iran had restored diplomatic ties in 2023 after years of tension. But the latest conflict has again pushed relations to a critical point.
