Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has shared an interesting story about fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. Shahid Afridi Shaheen Afridi became a hot topic after his recent interview on a private TV channel. He said he deliberately did not pick Shaheen in his team to make him angry and push him to perform better.

Afridi said Shaheen was not part of his playing eleven at that time. However, he knew how to get the best out of him. He believed the decision would trigger a strong reaction from the fast bowler.

He explained that sometimes players respond positively to such situations. Afridi added that he understood Shaheen’s mindset very well and knew he would not accept being left out easily.

The former captain also shared that he had already told his daughter about this. He said Shaheen would show his ability whenever he got the opportunity to play.

Afridi further said he had seen Shaheen’s fighting spirit before. He believed such steps can motivate certain players to prove themselves on the field.
