RAWALPINDI: A five-year-old girl was recently abducted from Rawalpindi’s Fauji Colony while running an errand at a nearby shop. Her worried family searched for her until nightfall but found no trace, leading them to report the incident to the authorities.
The police swiftly came to the rescue and obtained nearby CCTV footage showing the victim with an unknown man, dressed in shalwar kameez, calmly walking away with the girl.
According to the victim’s family, the man shown on the CCTV footage is a stranger and they haven’t seen him before. Police have registered the First Hand Report (FIR) of abduction at the request of the girl’s father.
Police authorities are working promptly to locate the girl but no trace has been found yet. The police officials have requested the residents to collaborate in identifying the suspect recorded in the CCTV footage.
