Army foils suicide attack in South Waziristan, seven injured

RAWALPINDI: In South Waziristan, the Pakistan Army foiled a suicide attack by the Khawarij on a security check post at Azam Warsak, resulting in the injury of seven people.

MS of DHQ Hospital Dr. Jan Muhammad said that seven people injured in the failed suicide blast have been brought to DHQ Hospital Wana and are being provided with medical treatment. The Khawarij had come to attack an army post in Azam Warsak area of ​​South Waziristan in a vehicle loaded with explosives.

Due to the timely action of the Pakistan Army’s high alert unit, the vehicle was destroyed before it reached the target. Targeting the suicide bomber and the vehicle at a distance from the check post not only prevented major casualties but also killed the attacker Khawarij. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
