13 terrorists killed in KP security operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 13 terrorists in major operations in Bannu and Bara in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to details, the ISPR said in a statement that the security forces conducted two successful intelligence-based operations on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber and Bannu districts.

During these operations, 13 terrorists of the Indian-sponsored group ‘Fitna-ul-Khawarij’ were killed.

The spokesperson said that the security forces carried out an effective operation on the hideout of the Khawarij in the Bara area of ​​Khyber district. During this operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the terrorists, as a result of which 10 Khawarij were killed while the forces completely destroyed the hideout of the terrorists.

The security forces conducted another intelligence-based operation in Bannu district, where 3 more Khawarij were killed in the exchange of fire.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that search and clearance operations are still underway to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists present in these areas.

The ISPR statement clarified that these operations are being carried out under the government’s vision of “Commitment to Stability”, security forces and law enforcement agencies are fully mobilized against terrorism across the country.

The Pakistan Army has once again reiterated its resolve that terrorism sponsored by foreign countries will be completely eradicated from the country and the writ of the state will be maintained at all costs.
