RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khanum for the seventh time in a case registered at Sadiqabad Police Station on November 26.
The hearing of the November 26 protest case against Aleema Khanum was held in the Anti-Terrorism Court by Judge Amjad Ali Shah. On this occasion, 10 accused named in the case appeared, but Imran Khan’s sister did not appear. Prosecutor Zaheer Shah appeared in the court along with his team, while 5 prosecution witnesses also reached the ATC.
During the hearing, a detailed report was presented regarding Aleema Khanum’s bank account, according to which 12 accounts of Imran Khan’s sister in different banks were frozen, with one account containing more than Rs 12.4 million.
Arrest warrants were issued for the managers of two banks for non-compliance with the court order, while contempt of court notices were issued to two banks for non-compliance with the order to freeze the account.
Prosecutor Zaheer Shah told the court that Aleema Khanum is openly violating the court orders, she has deliberately obstructed the court trial, records related to all her properties should be sought.
The court sought details of the properties of Imran Khan’s sister from the DG Punjab Land Records Authority, while also seeking details from the Secretary Cooperative, Senior Member Punjab Board Revenue, Chairman CDA and Commissioner Islamabad. The ATC also sought records from the SECP regarding the registration of Aleema Khanum’s company.
The ATC, on the request of the prosecution, once again issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khanum and adjourned the hearing of the case till November 10.
