QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Provincial Home Minister Mir Zia Lango along with other senior officials told a news conference that security agencies have arrested a female suicide bomber during a successful operation in Balochistan.
The Chief Minister appreciated the performance of the security forces and said that this operation is important for peace and security in Balochistan.
Sarfaraz Bugti said that Afghanistan is a safe haven for terrorists. The people of Balochistan no longer accept terrorism. The successful operation of the security agencies saved a major disaster.

The arrested woman Laiba, while giving her statement in the news conference, said that she belongs to Khuzdar district, people know her as Farzana at home and in the village. She was prepared for suicide bombing by Taliban commander Ibrahim after brainwashing.
She said that Commander Ibrahim put me in touch with Dil Jan, who was supposed to introduce me to BYC (Baloch Yakgetai Committee) leader Dr. Sabiha. I was prepared for a suicide mission, but was arrested. I was targeted to prepare more girls for suicide attacks, but I will tell all women not to be part of any wrong activity.
According to the investigation, the accused had joined the banned BLA in July 2025.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Provincial Home Minister said that after this successful operation, more steps will be taken to eliminate terrorism in Balochistan and the security forces are always active to provide a safe environment to the people.
