LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced major relief for motorcyclists and has waived the transfer fee for motorcycles up to 150 cc.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said in a message on the social networking website that to protect the public from the effects of rising fuel prices, the government has decided to waive the transfer fee for motorcycles up to 150 cc.
According to the Punjab government, several relief measures have been taken for motorcyclists during April and May 2026, which are aimed at providing economic convenience to the common citizens and improving the implementation of traffic laws.
Under the government announcement, registered motorcycle owners will be given a subsidy of Rs 100 per liter on petrol up to 20 liters per month. In addition, motorcycle transfer fee, additional registration mark fee, and smart card fee have also been waived from April 6 to May 5, 2026.
According to officials, the motorcycle transfer fee of Rs 605, the additional registration mark fee of Rs 1,000, and the smart card fee of Rs 1,300 have been waived.
Citizens can apply for this relief through the “Tell Maryam” app, helpline 1000, or the official web portal. The Punjab government says that these measures will provide direct financial relief to motorcycle riders.
