Bilawal vows People-Centric Governance to Tackle Inflation

LAHORE – Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, visited the residence of senior party worker Zubaida Shaheen in Lahore, expressing delight at returning to the city where the PPP was founded. Bilawal spoke to journalists during the visit, pledging to revive the party’s historical standing and address the challenges facing the nation.

Highlighting the pressing issue of high inflation affecting the people, Bilawal stressed that the PPP’s government would be representative of the people and committed to resolving their issues. He reiterated the party’s longstanding fight against poverty, inflation, and unemployment, emphasizing that poverty, unemployment, and price hikes were the true opponents.

Bilawal criticized traditional parties for engaging in divisive politics, asserting that the PPP aimed to serve the people. He promised to solve the problems faced by the people with their support, maintaining a focus on unity.

Responding to journalists’ questions, Bilawal emphasized the implementation of the “Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan” (Bread, Clothing, and Shelter) slogan. He recalled the PPP’s past initiatives, including the Benazir Income Support Programme, and announced plans to introduce a ‘Youth Card’ to provide assistance to those in need.

Addressing the political landscape, Bilawal stated that the PPP would bring surprises not only in Balochistan but across the entire country, including Punjab, provided a level playing field. He stressed the importance of open dialogue in politics and expressed a commitment to bringing all parties together, citing the need for unity amidst a situation of heightened political division.

Bilawal praised the courage and steadfastness of PPP workers in Lahore, acknowledging their resilience during challenging times. He emphasized the party’s history of championing the rights of growers and laborers, positioning the PPP as a party dedicated to the welfare of the downtrodden masses.
