ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has promptly addressed and refuted rumors circulating about a purported change in the policy for the issuance of the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), commonly known as the B-form.

Recent reports had suggested that a medical certificate would be required to obtain the B-form, with an alleged deadline set for December 31. However, NADRA has categorically denied any such changes in its policy.

In a reassuring statement posted on Twitter, NADRA clarified, “Neither any sort of changes are under consideration about the issuance of B-form, nor there are any changes.” The authority emphasized its commitment to the existing procedures and urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation.

The CRC serves as a crucial registration document for minors under the age of 18, and NADRA clarified that obtaining the B-form can be done by providing documented proof of childbirth from the union council. This reaffirmation underscores NADRA’s dedication to ensuring a streamlined and accessible process for citizens to acquire essential documentation.

As concerns arose due to misleading information, NADRA’s swift clarification not only dispels any confusion but also reinforces the public’s trust in the transparent and consistent policies maintained by the authority. The timely response from NADRA serves as a reminder of the importance of accurate information dissemination, contributing to a more informed and confident citizenry.
