Bus plunges into ravine in Mardan four dead, nine injured

MARDAN: In a tragic incident, a bus plunged into a ravine near Sangao, Mardan, resulting in four deaths and nine injuries. Rescue sources indicate the bus, traveling from Buner to Katlang, fell into the ravine, killing two individuals immediately.

Eleven people were injured, and two of them later succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to four. Rescue efforts are ongoing, and the injured are being treated at a local hospital.

Previously, at least 13 people, including women and children, were killed and four others injured when a passenger jeep fell into the icy Neelum River in Neelum Valley.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. when the jeep skidded off the highway and plunged into the river. The victims included four women and three children.

Upon receiving the report, rescue officials promptly arrived at the scene to conduct operations. The bodies were taken to a morgue for legal procedures, and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
