Imran, Qureshi’s indictment in cipher case put off for a week

RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister (PM), Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf Imran Khan and Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi could not be charged in Cipher case during Special Court hearing in Official Secret Act in Adiala Jail, on Tuesday.

While the court remarked that the accused will be charged in the next hearing.

Chairman PTI’s lawyer Salman Safdar Butt, Khalid Yusuf and Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s daughter and son Zain Qureshi were also present in the jail.

Prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi, Special Prosecutor FIA Shah Khawar and FIA team along with the investigation officer. They were present in Adiala Jail for the hearing.

Chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi could not be charged and according to the court order, the accused will be charged at the next hearing.

The indictment could not be processed, but the court distributed the copies of the challan to the accused and adjourned the hearing of the case for a week.
