CM Punjab launches Pakistan’s largest agricultural graduate internship program

LAHORE: In a historic move for the agriculture sector, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched Pakistan’s largest agricultural graduate internship programme.

This initiative was inaugurated at University of Agriculture Faisalabad to nurture young talent in the agricultural sector.

Under this ambitious programme, 1,000 agriculture graduates will get a monthly scholarship of Rs 60,000. The initiative is designed to provide practical experience and financial support to these graduates as they embark on their professional journey.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif personally distributed appointment letters to selected graduates during the inauguration ceremony. He also took the opportunity to meet the faculty and students at the University of Agriculture, discussing the merit-based selection process with the graduates, many of whom were eager to take a selfie with the Chief Minister.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Senator Pervez Rasheed, Federal Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, Talal Chaudhry, MPA Sania Ashiq, Abid Sher Ali, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Inspector General of Police, and the Secretary of Agriculture and Information.

In a heartwarming moment, Maryam Nawaz Sharif praised a student, Anila Hussain, for her soulful recitation of Naat Rasool Maqbool, personally standing up from her seat to congratulate her.

Senator Pervez Rasheed, Federal Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Zahid Bukhari, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, Talal Chaudhry, MPA Sania Ashiq, Abid Sher Ali and many other important personalities participated in the event. of Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Inspector General Police and Secretary Agriculture and Information.

This unprecedented program is seen as an important step towards promoting agricultural innovation and ensuring a prosperous future for young professionals in the sector.
