LAHORE: A section controller of Pakistan Railways was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore, here on Saturday.
As per police reports, the deceased, identified as Faisal Manzoor, was attacked inside his house at night. The culprits entered under the cover of darkness and used sharp weapons to kill him before fleeing the scene.
On receiving information, police and forensic teams reached the spot to collect evidence. DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza visited the spot and directed the authorities to expedite the investigation and ensure the early arrest of the accused.
Authorities are currently examining forensic evidence and reviewing CCTV footage to trace the accused. The motive behind the murder is still unclear, further investigation is underway.
