PTI Protest: CCTV footage of attack on Rangers personnel released

ISLAMABAD: Under the pretense of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration, the miscreants’ fast-moving vehicle ran over three Rangers officers resulting in their death at the spot, according to CCTV footage that was made public on Tuesday.

The terrible event happened at 2:44 a.m. on the evening of November 26, 2024 when the Rangers were stationed in Islamabad to maintain peace amid PTI protest.

The the martyred Rangers are identified as Sepoy Gulfam Khan, Sepoy Shah Nawaz, Naik Muhammad Ramzan, according to state run Radio Pakistan.

According to security sources, the criminals’ racing car approached from behind a tree, collided with the Rangers officers, and then proceeded without stopping.

According to security sources, three others suffered serious injuries in this unfortunate tragedy.

According to security sources, the incident happened while the Rangers men were being deployed at a checkpoint. According to security officials, this incident was a part of the criminals’ well-thought-out plot, which is evident in the CCTV footage.

They said that the incident is being misrepresented and falsely spread on social media using made-up facts. A number of recordings showing aggressive protestors have previously been made public, according to security sources.

The sources stated that stringent legal action would be taken against individuals engaged in the incident and that the process of identifying the miscreants through CCTV footage is currently underway.
