ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Noon (PML-N) leader Javed Latif said that he was happy that there were no major obstacles in the way of the majority. He said that although there were some small conspiracies, the majority’s authority remained, which is a sign of the success of the democratic process.

He said that if obstacles were placed in the election of Sohail Afridi, it would have been harmful to the people of Peshawar. Javed Latif said that the past ambitions and strategies of the founder of PTI have not yet ended, and internal and external elements can still pose a threat to Pakistan in the matter of terrorism.

Javed Latif stressed that adopting the path of courage, conscience, and the constitutional path is the best path for the country. According to him, the founder of PTI cannot be separated from those characters who have been accustomed to playing with state institutions.

He said that the founder always stood apart when decisions were taken on extremist organizations, and this attitude proved to be harmful for Pakistan.

He further said that some forces continued to weaken others in the country for their own interests, and this game was not a one-day game but a result of years of planning. Javed Latif clarified that a few arrests would not correct the situation because the followers are still active today. He was speaking on ABN News’ program “Tajzia” and said that

If he really works as the head of the province, then improvement is possible, but if the resources are sacrificed for the pleasure of a single person, then it will be an injustice to the province.

Javed Latif said that the practice of carving idols with hands and then complaining about them should end in the country. According to him, anyone who points out mistakes is targeted.

He complained that the ground has been narrowed on him and his party, while some forces consider themselves above justice. He said that efforts are underway to weaken the PML-N and the PPP, but history is a witness that popular parties cannot be weakened.
