CTO Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam said that so far more than 67,000 citizens have been provided with licensing facilities during the current Ramadan. Out of these, more than 13,000 people have been issued new driving licenses. According to officials, citizens are visiting the centers in large numbers on a daily basis.

Officials say that iftar is also arranged for the citizens present at the centers during iftar. The aim of this initiative is to facilitate the citizens and save their time.

The CTO clarified that the licensing facility is being provided only on the original identity card. No fake or photocopied document is being accepted. Learner permits and permanent licenses are being given to motorcycle riders in a single day.
