LAHORE: Punjab Traffic Police has announced the extension of the working hours of driving license centers in major cities to facilitate citizens and reduce congestion.
According to the report, under this initiative, centers in major cities like Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan and Sialkot will remain open 24 hours a day, while centers in smaller cities will provide services from 8 am to 12 am.
A traffic police spokesperson clarified that applicants must first obtain a learner license, which can be obtained online or from their nearest license center, after which candidates can apply for a regular driving license.
After passing the test, they will be immediately issued an e-driving license, which legally has the status of a traditional card.
Punjab Traffic Police has appealed to citizens that it is mandatory to have a legal and valid license while driving, and the new working hours will provide convenience to the public while also reducing congestion.
