KARACHI: In a shocking incident, a baby girl lost her life in Karachi on Monday when her father reportedly threw her off the third floor of a building.

Residents were shocked by the incident and informed the police immediately. The infant died instantly after falling on the ground, eyewitnesses reported.

The authorities came to the site just minutes later and arrested both parents on suspicion of questioning. Authorities informed the police that more investigation is ongoing to establish the motive for the ghastly act.

In another similar case of extreme cruelty, a landowner in Sharaqpur Sharif, Punjab, is reported to have thrown a young boy into a brick kiln after the boy had solicited food from him. The boy suffered severe burns and was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where doctors mentioned that he is in critical condition.

The boy’s mother, a beggar, informed police that the landowner was angry when her son asked for a corncob. Authorities have opened an investigation and pledged to arrest the suspect in the near future.
