FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has taken an important decision regarding the billing of protected consumers and imposed strict restrictions on the correction of bills.
According to the new instructions, if a protected consumer’s electricity consumption is recorded even one unit more than 200 units, then no correction will be made in his bill.
FESCO officials have issued instructions for strict implementation of the billing policy and clarified that action will also be taken against the relevant staff who are negligent or deficient in billing.
According to the authorities, if a consumer exceeds the prescribed limit of 200 units even once in six months, his protected category will be terminated, and he will have to pay the bill under the relevant regular tariff.
FESCO has directed all concerned officers and staff to ensure full implementation of the new billing policy, saying that there will be no relaxation in the limit of 200 units set for protected customers.
