Senate panel directs increase in salaries of federal law officers

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice has directed that the salaries of federal law officers be increased, according to media reports.

The Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice held a meeting, in which notice was taken of the difference in salaries of provincial and federal law officers.

On this occasion, the chairman of the committee directed to increase the salaries of federal law officers.

The meeting also directed the imposition of a ban on the private practice of federal law officers in the case of increasing salaries.

The Deputy Chairman of NAB sought time from the committee to present the details of salaries and benefits. The Senate committee was directed to provide the data by July 30.
