LAHORE: Anila, a female teacher undergoing treatment at Lahore General Hospital, while giving details of the incident, said that my financial situation is not good, due to which I teach tuition, my husband drives a cart near the market.
I have been teaching children under two years of age, a total of 30 to 35 children come for tuition, last day 20 to 22 children came for tuition.
The roof was leaking due to rain, due to which the repair work was started, I did not know that the roof would collapse. My daughter’s condition is better, she has been discharged from the hospital, but I have not met her, all this happened from Allah.
The hospital administration says that the female teacher’s condition is out of danger, she will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two.
On the other hand, a case has been registered in the Kahna area of Lahore regarding the roof collapse of a tuition center. The case was registered on the complaint of Enforcement Inspector Nishtar Zone.
According to the FIR, 14 children were killed and 8 were injured in the accident. The loss of life was due to repair work and negligence on the roof. The roof collapsed due to excessive weight.
The FIR states that 5 people, including the landlord, have been taken into custody. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed.
