ASTANA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana today for the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO), the Foreign Office said.
Taking on X, Foreign Ministry said, at the airport, he was received by Director of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nursalimuly Yergalym, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Astana, Nauman Bashir Bhatti, and Pakistan’s National Coordinator(SCO) Ambassador Marghoob Saleem Butt.
In Astana, Deputy Prime Minister Dar will meet with the Kazakh Foreign Minister and discuss bilateral areas of cooperation.
On the sideline of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, Foreign Minister Dar will meet the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, to discuss the latest situation in Bishkek to ensure the well-being of Pakistani students in recent mob violence.

Earlier today, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held delegation-level talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Islamabad who is here on a two-day official visit.
The two leaders reviewed progress on bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
Both sides also discussed arrangements for the upcoming session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).
