The Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory conducted a forensic analysis of the audio-visual material at the request of the Peshawar Police. This analysis consisted of 16 videos in the USB sent by the East Police Station of Peshawar, which were examined frame by frame.
The report states that no evidence of any editing or tampering was found in several videos, however, logos and text have been added to a few videos. In addition, evidence of splicing clips has also come to light in two videos related to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and Irfan Saleem.
According to the forensic report, Sohail Afridi’s profile picture was compared with the person in the May 9 video, which confirmed that both are the same person. Similarly, the profile pictures of Irfan Saleem, Kamran Bangash and Taimur Jhagra were also compared with the people in the videos, which were found to be completely consistent.
