NAWABSHAH: At least four died, while 10 others were injured when a van carrying pilgrims to Sehwan collided with a trawler in Nawabshah on Saturday morning.
The devotees were traveling to attend the annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar when they met an accident on Aamri Bridge near Qazi Ahmad.
The police officials stated that the injured and dead bodies have been shifted to Taluka Hospital in Qazi Ahmad.
On Friday, the Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,428 road accidents in all districts of Punjab.
In these accidents, nine people died, whereas 1,659 were injured.
Out of these, 724 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 935 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
