GB govt announces public holiday tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, has passed away in Lisbon, Portugal. Following his death, the Gilgit-Baltistan government has announced a public holiday on February 6 in the region.

The notification states that all government offices and educational institutions will remain closed. Price Karim Aga Khan led the Ismaili Muslims since 1957 after the death of his grandfather, Sultan Muhammad led Aga Khan. He was highly respected in Gilgit-Baltistan for his contributions to education and healthcare.
