GB Govt implements 4-day work schedule, 3 days off

GILHIT BALTISTAN: The Gilgit-Baltistan government has issued a formal notification for the implementation of a four-day working week.

According to the new decision, government offices will remain open from Monday to Thursday and will remain closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This decision has been taken under the federal policy to make administrative matters more efficient and increase the pace of government work. With this new arrangement, government employees will get three days off a week.

The Gilgit-Baltistan government has also issued new working hours of government departments to facilitate both employees and the public. The notification states that the working hours in government offices will be organized and clear during the four-day working week.

Officials say that the implementation of this policy will improve administrative work and employees will also get adequate time for work and rest.

This decision in Gilgit-Baltistan has been taken in accordance with the federal policy, which is also under consideration in other provinces and areas of the country to improve administrative efficiency.
