ISLAMABAD: Under the chairmanship of Deputy PM & FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, a meeting of the committee on fuel conservation and extra austerity was held, in which the exemption applications of different ministries, along with the cost-cutting drive, were critically analyzed.
The Foreign Office and its liaison offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Gujrat have been asked to extend consular attestation service from Friday to Saturday as per the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Moreover, it was agreed that the operating hours of small grocery and general stores across the country will be extended until 10 pm.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Petroleum, the Minister of Climate Change, IT & Telecom, the SAPM on Finance, the SAPM to the Deputy PM, as well as Secretaries, the Cabinet, Commerce, Petroleum, and IT ministries, etc.
