Govt announces public holiday on December 27: Here’s why!

KARACHI: A public holiday has been declared in Sindh province on December 27 on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.

According to the notification, all government and semi-government institutions will remain closed on December 27.

It should be noted that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was shot dead in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.

A public holiday is observed in Sindh every year on the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, and her death anniversary is celebrated with devotion and respect across the country.
