ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday announced the allocation of residential plots for the families of 25 martyred personnel of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), while pledging strict accountability and major institutional reforms.
The minister announced during an Islamabad event that the agency will implement a complete prohibition against all forms of corruption. He stated that all officers who participate in corrupt activities will face severe punishment because the organization will implement its accountability process without any exceptions.
Naqvi assured officers that merit and performance will be the main factors for evaluation, while dedicated officials will receive timely promotions instead of remaining stuck in the same positions for years. He also pledged to protect the rights of FIA personnel and urged them to uphold integrity in their duties.
The minister announced that agency reforms will continue until the agency achieves full operational capacity on December 31, 2026. Naqvi demonstrated the government’s dedication because the prime minister wants to enhance the FIA’s capabilities for fighting crime, while existing facilities at FIA offices have already received upgrades.
Director General FIA Usman Anwar also addressed the ceremony, reaffirming efforts to enhance the organization and ensure merit-based decisions in all appointments.
