ISLAMABAD: The federal government of Pakistan on Wednesday announced relief for agricultural tubewells and consumers consuming up to 300 units of electricity.

The Power Division has announced a reduction in monthly fuel adjustment charges for electricity consumers consuming up to 300 units and agricultural tubewells.

Fuel adjustment relief for consumers with 300 units was stopped since June 2015, while the reduction for agricultural tubewells was withdrawn in December 2010.

The Power Division has written to NEPRA requesting it to restore these adjustments. According to the division, this move will further reduce the monthly electricity bills of both agricultural tubewells and consumers with 300 units.
