ISLAMABAD: The federal government was willing to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to the hospital for medical treatment, according to a media report.
The opposition demanded that the PTI founder be kept in Shifa International Hospital for at least 10 days, and the government was also willing to keep the founder in the hospital for complete treatment, the report added.
The government’s condition was that the treatment information would not be disclosed, and workers would not be called.
Arrangements for the founder’s transfer to the hospital had been completed on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, and vehicles were also prepared for the party leadership along with the founder.
The family was contacted, and the names of the doctors were sought, to which the sisters gave the names of Dr. Asim and Dr. Uzma.
However, the government did not accept the names given by the sisters, including the name of Dr. Burki, which was given but the government also rejected.
Later, the government suggested the name of Dr. Qasim Zaman, but the sisters and Qasim Zaman expressed concern and could not agree on the transfer to the hospital.
The government announced on Sunday night that the transfer to the hospital was no longer possible.
The party leadership met with doctors at PIMS Hospital and took an oath that the details of the meeting would not be made public.
According to sources, Aleema Khan was upset with Barrister Gohar’s contact with the doctors and was planning to hold a press conference against the party leadership in Bani Gala last Tuesday.
