ISLSMABAD: Under the Hajj Mohafiz Scheme, in case of the death of any pilgrim during the Hajj Hijaz Holy Pilgrimage this year, up to Rs 2 million will be given to the next of kin, and approximately Rs 1 million will be given in case of loss of any limb in any accident.
A quota of Rs 119,210 has been allocated for the government scheme, while this year, private Hajj tour operators will be strictly monitored and in case of complaints, they will be blacklisted and permanently banned, along with heavy fines or quota reduction.
Similarly, 24-hour medical and treatment facilities will be provided to the Hajj pilgrims, including medicines. In this regard, there will be one doctor and two paramedical staff for 1,000 pilgrims. The performance of private Hajj tour operators will also be monitored. Immediate action will be taken in case of any complaint.
This year, Hajj training has been made mandatory for all those eligible for government and private schemes. A total of 179,210 pilgrims from Pakistan will be eligible to perform Hajj under government and private schemes.
