Govt denies claims of Hajj flights suspension

PIA begins pre-Hajj 2026 operations for 55,000 pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has strongly refuted circulating reports about the suspension or delay of Hajj flights. The ministry confirmed that Hajj 2026 arrangements are proceeding according to their established timeline.

The ministry assured pilgrims that there is no cause for concern. A spokesperson for the ministry said recent rumors circulating on social media and through unverified sources regarding the postponement or cancellation of Hajj flights are completely baseless and misleading.

Hajj 2026 preparations continue to proceed according to established plans despite ongoing global difficulties. The spokesperson added that the ministry is maintaining continuous coordination with all relevant agencies to ensure the timely completion of arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims.

Pilgrims will receive top-quality services through hospitality arrangements, which include finalized accommodation bookings, transport, and meals, and all other elements needed in Makkah and Madinah.

The Hajj operations will receive new modern systems, which will enhance pilgrims’ mobility and their access to accommodation and medical care.

The ministry maintains ongoing contact with Saudi authorities to ensure all operational arrangements meet international standards and proceed according to the designated timeline.

The ministry urged pilgrims and their families to rely solely on official sources for Hajj-related information. The ministry provides updates and guidance about Hajj 2026 through official announcements, its website and the “Pak Hajj App.”

The spokesperson warned against believing unverified news and social media rumors because the false information creates unnecessary worry for pilgrims. The ministry confirmed its dedication to providing Pakistani pilgrims with necessary support services.
