Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Libyan armed forces meets Field Marshal Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met with Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir was met by the Deputy Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

On his arrival at GHQ, the distinguished guest was presented with a guard of honour by a well-dressed contingent of the three armed forces.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, defense cooperation, and possibilities of further promoting military ties between the armies of the two countries were discussed in detail.

Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral defense relations and expanding cooperation in the fields of professional military training and security.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said on the occasion that the Pakistan Army is committed to promoting peace, stability, and constructive cooperation with friendly countries.

On this occasion, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, appreciated the professional capabilities of the Pakistani armed forces and paid tribute to their services for establishing peace and security in the region.
