LONDON: Pakistan’s disappointing run in the FIH Pro Hockey League continued as the national team suffered its 14th consecutive defeat after losing 2-1 to England in London.
Following a defeat against India, the Green Shirts were once again unable to secure points as England edged past Pakistan in a closely contested match.
Rana Waheed Ashraf scored Pakistan’s lone goal of the game, but it was not enough to prevent another setback for the visitors.
With the latest loss, Pakistan remains without a single point in the tournament and continues to struggle against top-ranked international sides.
The national team will now turn its attention to its next fixture against arch-rivals India, scheduled to be played on June 26.
Pakistan will be hoping to end its winless streak and register its first points of the campaign when it takes on India in the highly anticipated encounter.
