Holiday declared on August 28 in THIS city: Details inside

ATTOCK: The Deputy Commissioner of Attock has announced a holiday on Thursday, August 28, in the entire district.

The holiday has been announced in connection with the Urs of the famous Sufi saint Hazrat Sakhi Sultan in Attock Khurd.

According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner, all government offices and schools across the district will remain closed except for essential services.

It should be noted that the Urs of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan is celebrated with religious devotion every year, in which a large number of devotees from all over the country participate.

Earlier, A local holiday has been declared in Sargodha city for all the educational institutes on Saturday, 28th Safar (August 23) in connection with the observance of Shahadat Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA).

Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Wasim has issued a notification in this regard.

According to a spokesperson for the DC office stated that the vacation will only apply to Sargodha city’s schools and institutions.

The decision was made in order to protect public safety and uphold law and order throughout the religious procession.
